Alex and his assistant travelled all the way from Ayrshire to Glenfarg to fit our stove in freezing cold weather in December 2013. We can highly recommend them, and are delighted with our stove. Alex clearly is an expert, qualified installer, and the work was carried out carefully and neatly. We followed his advice, burning mainly hardwood, then adding softwood once the temperature has built up and always ensuring we keep a good couple of inches deep bed of ash. The stove is easy to light and within minutes, the Ecofan is whirring and the thermometer soon reaches a comfortable level in the mid twenties. The hottest we have had it so far is 28.9 degrees Celsius. Alex was recommended to us by the company from whom we bought our 702 stove.
